Daniel McCormick is a youth worker and community artist working within West Dunbartonshire. He has been a driving force behind youth arts within his local community for the past five years and played an integral role in setting up and shaping #FreshCreations a youth arts hub, set up through Time To Shine Scotland’s national youth arts strategy. He is a founding member of the National Youth Arts Advisory Group (NYAAG) and has been working with the group over the last four years.

His work has seen him travel all over the UK and beyond advocating the co-design and youth-led approaches when working with young people and how to meaningfully engage young people in the decision-making processes. His work has gained both local and national recognition having been awarded the Lord Provost Arts and Cultural champions award in 2015 and with #FreshCreations being awarded the Time To Shine Arts and Creativity award in 2017.  He is currently working on establishing a new creative project for local young people within West Dunbartonshire.
