Glen Grant

Super16
Denmark

Glen Bay Grant was born in 1991, in London and has Scottish ancestors. He moved to Denmark when he was four. After a year attending the European film college, Glen was successful with the short film Radio Life, which was nominated for the best Danish short film of the year at Odense Film Festival (OFF) and was nominated at several foreign festivals. In 2016, the short film was further developed into a television programme, which appeared on The Broadcasting channel ”Danmarks Radio”. In 2017, he again had great success with the Danish documentary Jul I Højhuset, a three-part series about the unusual life at a social housing community in Copenhagen. Glen is now attending the alternative film school Super16, where he hopes to explore the lines between fiction and documentary, making films that mix sensitivity and bizarre humour. Glen is inspired by people who appear and contain, originality and an absurdity – and people who fight and dream about the things that sometimes seem insignificant for others.
