Jenny Waldman is Director of 14-18 NOW, the UK’s official First World War Centenary Cultural Programme. This 5-year programme commissions new artworks from UK and international artists, reflecting on WW1 and the period 1914-18. Under Jenny’s leadership 14-18 NOW has worked in partnership with arts and heritage organisations across the UK and has engaged over 35 million people with its arts commissions, as well as earning critical acclaim and a number of awards.

Jenny was Creative Producer of the London 2012 Festival, the finale of the Cultural Olympiad for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.  Prior to that she created the outdoor programme at Somerset House, including the famous ice rink and highly successful series of concerts and films.  Jenny has commissioned large-scale performing arts events for Tate Modern and Tate Britain. As Director of Arts Centre Programmes at the Southbank Centre, the UK’s largest arts centre, she developed a programme of dance & performance, literature, outdoor arts and festivals. Jenny is a Cultural Fellow of Kings College London. She was awarded a CBE for services to the arts.
