Louise Richardson

Louise Richardson is Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of St Andrews. Previously she spent 20 years at Harvard as a professor of Government and Executive Dean of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. She is a global authority on terrorism. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and a member of the Scottish Government’s Council of Economic Advisers and the Scottish Commemorations Panel. She serves on the boards of the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the East-West Institute and several Scottish charities. She has been awarded the Sumner Prize for the advancement of international peace, an honorary degree from MGIMO in Moscow

and the Centennial Medal from Harvard.
