Maisah Sobaihi is a Theatre Maker in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Her passion for theatre leads her to work with the young women of Saudi Arabia to create plays that reflect the social and private experiences of these women.  In 2018 she was appointed as a board member on the Ministerial Board of the Commission of Theatre, part of the newly established Ministry of Culture, and is the Chairwoman of its Executive Committee. Her vision is to ignite a theatre culture and join in the development of theatre in the vibrant Cultural Movement currently in Saudi Arabia. In 2013, she came to Edinburgh with her one woman play Head over Heels in Saudi Arabia.

Joining as a Trustee is Mona Siddiqui, Professor of Islamic and Interreligious Studies and Assistant Principal for Religion and Society at the University of Edinburgh. She is known internationally as a public intellectual and is a regular commentator in the media.
