Serin Kim Hong is Head of the School and Community Team at Korea Arts & Culture Education Service (KACES), whose main duties include supporting the teaching artists and the arts education immersion schools “Yesulkot Siat Haggyo (예술꽃 씨앗 학교, Arts Flower Seed School).” She joined KACES in 2015 and served in a variety of capacities in programming the ArtE Academy for teaching artists and school teachers, managing El Sistema Korea, and leading the international relations team of KACES while launching the first digital format of the International Teaching Artist Conference (ITAC) 2020 in collaboration with the International Teaching Artist Collaborative. Prior to joining KACES, she worked at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, when the Merck Arts Education Center was formed within the campus, and the Eastman School of Music’s Concert Office in Rochester, New York, USA where she loved working with the Eastman faculty and students, the resident performing arts company and visiting artists. Supporting and witnessing how individuals thrive with arts activities and how arts change the world matters most in her job.
