Xiang Zhaolun

Vice Minister of Culture

Xiang Zhaolun is Vice Minister at the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China. Born in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, he graduated from the School of Chinese Language and Literature at Nanjing Normal University in 1983. From 1983 to 1999
he worked at the Research Department of the Communist Party (CPC) Provincial Committee of Jiangsu Province, the Poverty Relief Office of Jiangsu Provincial Government, and the Jiangsu Rural Development Studies Centre. From 1999 to 2006 he worked in the Administration Office of the CPC Central Committee on Financial
and Economic Affairs. From 2006 to 2013 he served in the General Office of the State Council in the following posts: Director-General of the First Bureau of Secretarial Affairs; Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council of China; and Director of the Premier’s Office. He has been Vice Minister of Culture since 2013.
