Asaduzzaman Noor MP

Asaduzzaman Noor has been involved with the theatre since 1973 and has made more than 600 appearances in 15 different plays. He has written and directed plays for both stage and television and acted in over 100 television dramas and serials including Kothao Keu Nei, Oyomoy, Ei Sob Din Rattri and Bohubrihi as well as over 50 radio plays and many full-length feature films. Today he is a member of the Liberation War Museum Trustee Board, President of Abbriti Somonnoy Parishad (Council of Recitation Co-ordination), and Member of Sommilito Sangskritik Jote. In 1998 he joined the Bangladesh Awami League and in 2002 he was elected the League’s Publicity Secretary and in 2009 Cultural Affairs Secretary. In 2001 and 2008 he was a Member of Parliament and has served on several parliamentary standing committees including the Cultural Affairs and Information & Communication Technology committee. He has been Minister for the Ministry of Cultural Affairs since 2013.
