Marie-Claude Champoux

Marie-Claude Champoux is Deputy Minister of Culture and Communications of the Québec Government. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public communications from Université Laval. She has held strategic posts in the cabinets of former premiers Robert Bourassa, Daniel Johnson, and Jean Charest. As a civil servant, her numerous positions have included Assistant Deputy Minister of Health and Social Services, and Assistant Deputy Minister of Education, Recreation and Sports. Before joining the Minister of Culture and Communications, she was Deputy Minister of Education, Higher Education and Research and also served as Deputy Minister of Immigration and Cultural Communities and as interim President and CEO of Québec’s Labour Standards Board. She sat on many boards including the YMCA, École nationale d’administration publique, and Motivaction jeunesse.
