Narcisse Mouelle Kombi

Born in Douala, Cameroon, the Minister is a Professor of Public Law and Political Science at the University of Yaoundé, and has taught at Cameroon’s Faculty of Law and Political Science and International Relations Institute. Previous posts include Chargé d’études at the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences at University of Douala, Director of the International Relations Institute and President of the sub-commission of the National Commission on Human Rights and Freedom. He also served as a jurist in UNESCO’s Legal Affairs Division, as Vice President of the African Association of International Law and as a member of the Cameroonian delegation to the United Nations Cameroon-Nigeria Greentree Agreement. From 2011–2015, he was special adviser at the Presidency and is now an alternate member of the Central Committee of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement and permanent delegate of the Nkam Central Committee. He has published over 30 articles including four law books and three literary works, receiving the following awards: Knight of the Cameroon Order of Valour; Grand Prix International de Poésie from the Cercle International de la Pensée et des Arts Français; and first literary prize in poetry of Cameroon’s National Association of Poets and Writers.
