Culture & Media Committee, Scottish Youth Parliament
Rosie was elected as a member of the Scottish Youth Parliament in 2018 and has been Deputy-Convener of the Culture and Media Committee since 2020. In this time, she has helped lead committee campaigns on Youth Literacy, Accessibility of Arts and Culture, and the Value of Arts Subjects. She has also maintained a focus on youth work and youth work funding – campaigning on a local and national level. Rosie’s work is rooted in values of youth participation and access to rights. As a Youth Outreach and Engagement Worker, she has supported rural social enterprises to increase youth participation and contributed to international guidance on involving young people. Rosie is currently studying Social Anthropology and Social Policy at the University of Edinburgh. She works for the Scottish Youth Poetry Slam and continues to volunteer in youth work on a local level.
