Sybille Kastner is working as a Curator for the Department Art Education at the Lehmbruck Museum in Duisburg, Germany. She develops programs for all visitors with their respective needs including for people with visual and hearing impairments as well as for refugees. In 2006, she implemented the first concept for a guided tour for people with dementia thus the Lehmbruck Museum was the first Museum across Europe with an art reception which is geared towards the potentials and special needs of visitors with dementia. She has initiated similar programmes in 11 museums in Germany, funded by the Federal Ministry for Families, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. In 2014, her exhibition on intergenerational impact was awarded the German Age Award of the Robert Bosch Foundation.
